Day 4

I'm really satisfied with this image, the detailed worked out very well and I learned much.

My sketches so far

This is the first, wasn't very happy with it cause I couldn't scan it in and lost a lot of detail.
















The second I thought was even worse and wanted to redo it, but was rushed for time so just published it anyway. Couldn't see any light and shadows in the finished image.

And finally today's image. Much better. The scanner now works so a lot more detail shows clearly. Only after did I notice some major design and concept mistakes again, bugger!

What was I thinking?

I must be insane to do this, hectic schedule and all. Then again, how many times a day do we find excuses not to do something instead of doing it. Exactly the reason I chose to start this project, to prevent me from finding mundane excuses not to practice my drawing skills and get better at it. I mean, face it, the only way we get better at anything is with constant practice, day after day. So here I am, doing a sketch a day for a year, to start; and who knows, maybe even longer if the mood strikes me.
